2010 Affiliate Summit
Thursday
Jan 14, 2010
ShopWatchBuy will be at the 2010 Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas; the show will run from January 17th to January 19th. ShopWatchBuy will be just outside the registration area in the Miranda Room: Table 96.
The Affiliate Summit is one of the premier affiliate shows in the U.S.; attendees come from agencies, affiliate groups, merchants, networks and vendors. Over a third is affiliates themselves looking for new methods and skills to sell and promote their products.
What can you expect from ShopWatchBuy? We’ll be there to talk to both affiliates and business owners about how ShopWatchBuy can help their sales through video and online efforts. Do you need to let consumers “test-drive” your products through video? Are you looking for easy ways to allow your products to go “viral”? Look no further.
Mark your calendars for the event. The show starts on the 17th of January with the Affiliate Meet Market, and continues on the 18th and 19th in the main Exhibit Hall with seminars, meet-and-greets and exhibitors from over 2000 companies!
We’ll see you there!

Just had a great meeting…

Just had a great meeting with Jeremy Palmer Super Affiliate and author of the Black Ink Project. What a great guy Jeremy is! He’s just got lots of integrity, does a great job with Black Ink and provides lots of great advice for affiliates. We talked what I’m working on with SWB and he was very supportive – just a real good guy.

My first post…

While I consider myself a decent (but slow) writer, I’ve never been much of a blogger. But with the eminent release of ShopWatchBuy.com, here goes nothing….
Right now I’m sitting at the Seaport Hotel waiting for Affiliate Summit East to start which is very apropos considering the idea for ShopWatchBuy hit me on the plane ride home from AS West 2008 in Vegas.
Last night I attended a meeting for the Performance Marketing Alliance (PMA). The session was very good – lots of very bright people with some excellenct ideas on how we can improve the effectiveness of the Performance Marketing industry. Perhaps it’s because I’m in DC and worked with the government, but it occrured to me at my first Affiliate Summit in Miami that an organization such as this is sorely needed. So I’m very excited that it’s being started, and that I get to voluteer.
After the PMA meeting though, I was reminded why I hate attending shows like this solo. While everyone is super friendly at AS, you can’t help but feel like a third wheel sometimes. Many of these folks have worked together for a long time, usually remote from one another. So this event is a chance for them to socalize as much as anything else. I think I should get a big hat that says, “Stray Cat, please take me in”
